Would you heal now if you knew how?
Procrastination is a means of self-punishment.
Read this carefully. When one carries the tendency to procrastinate, they take the energy of “How do I heal?” and they project it into the future – into the next second (or fraction of a second), the next minute, the next hour, the next day, the next week, the next month, the next year, perhaps the next lifetime. The person is setting their healing into the future, a tomorrow which never comes. Procrastination is a deeply seated cultural belief that may be engrained into one’s brain. Procrastination serves a purpose to "make one feel better" because it rationalizes, "Now, I have a plan. See I will do it later." And later is another concept within the belief syndrome of procrastination when one continues the procrastinating.
When the creative power of your mind and your brain is tied to a process of procrastinating, then your behavior follows this belief seeking a result such as healing in the future from something or someone and dismisses one's own power and intelligence to sense and feel into the action and behavior of resolution.
Knowing how to heal to function fully rises from dropping the belief in procrastinating and learning in the flowing present the practice of attending to experiencing what is happening now. To delay this practice is procrastinating now. Attending to now is knowing your body, mind and heart. It is integrating sensing while attending to the workings of your mind, attending to the living flowing energies that are you, and attending to the environmental energies and their qualities that are about your life.
Allow your attention to be on experiencing your physical body, your emotional body, your mental body. Effortlessly allow this attending while imaging, empathizing, focusing, and expressing you directly and indirectly through your "selfs". Empathize holistically with what is happening now. Attend and focus upon the empowering of understanding and comprehending you as individual innate intelligence joining wisdom.
Knowing how to heal flows from experiencing, sensing, and feeling your own emotions, your own thoughts, your own images, and your own behaviors. Experiencing only happens now. The past is a memory, the future an expectation - both of these are creations of the mind. Procrastination, even for just a second, separates one from their individual knowing. You are the individual knowing. You are not an abstraction nor a collection of images, emotions and beliefs. Experiencing is only and always happening now. Not then or there, but rather now.
Knowing creates! Make a choice to consistently experience living now, and from this energy of moment-to-moment attending (awareness) you are knowing the creating of healing - being whole.
Procrastination is a form of escapism. Escapism is self-punishment for... "There is no escape in truth, only resolution." as stated by Jonah and held within the Vedic Sutras describing the action of cause and effect (Karma).
Procrastination weakens the brain, weakens the mind, and compresses the body, even the skull. Procrastination is the fearing of failure, a flight from one's individual power and intelligence. Thus, fearing future failure becomes dominant in the subconscious mind. Please know that whatever is dominant in the brain and the mind is what will be created in one's life. Fear prevents one from accomplishing that which they want to achieve because fear is a belief that operates as a secondary compensatory mechanism within a defensive system of running away (flight) from a perceived threat that has been frozen within one's autonomic somatic response until resolved. Procrastination is fundamentally somatic not psychological. Renegotiating the somatic past overwhelming traumatic events can connect the individual to their power once again to initiate and solve their problems which is the antidote for procrastination. Procrastination is a freeze response.
It takes more energy to procrastinate than it does to do the task. thereby giving credence to the statement, "Easier done than said."
