FOCUSING is a social portal. Focusing brings together whatever you are attending with clarity. Whatever you are imaging is clarified, whatever you are empathizing with is deepened, and whatever you are expressing is known - and you know you know, without doubt.
Focusing is consciously being aware that energy does not stop, it continues forever. Focusing assists you to understand the gestalt of your intent. Focusing does not force growth, it allows growth. Focusing is a discipline, it is not a means of control, not even the illusion of self-control. (See Vitalize: The Forever Choice)
Forcing growth is not respecting you, nor the learning. Growth cannot be forced only allowed. Allowing is an energy that creates discipline. Through discipline a greater level and quality of growth happens. Focusing is allowing growth with clarity.
Focusing is more than contemplating, it is more than a technique, it is a space, a portal, that one enters and asks of their knowing, "What do I need to remove in order to achieve the fulfillment of my soul’s choice?" The answer may be as simple as, "Remove doubt."
Focusing integrates what is happening in the periphery of one's life with the center of inner knowing. For instance, through focusing upon energies of the blocks to giving and receiving, one can shift from escaping and compensating to resolving. For example, if you have discovered through focusing that you have a desire for beautiful flowers, don't expect or wait for your partner to buy them, honor that desire by giving them to yourself.
A powerful and effective exercise is to focus upon the breath, attending it's pace without changing it or attempting to control your breathing from the mind.
Allow your brain and your mind to observe what is happening while focusing upon the depth of your breathing, do not attempt to regulate or force the breath.
Allowing and attending the qualities of the rhythm of the breath and the pulse of the heart, focus simultaneously on both and notice what is happening - a harmony or a dysrhythmia?
As you are focusing don't judge or conditionalize what you sense.
Over time with this exercise you may discover there are many rhythms of life. These pulsations occur throughout nature, civilizations, languages, music, biology and so on. Being in harmony with these vibrations may resonate with the joy within, much like the sustained vibrations of the piano can awaken the strings of a harp. Notice that the one focusing upon these pulses is you.
